Je trouve cette version magnifique. Trop rapide selon certains..... vous ne viviez pas à l'époque.... Je travaille au Château de Versailles, et des concerts à la Chapelle Royale ou à l'Opéra du Château j'en ai vu pas mal... et le baroque français n'est pas si lent que cela. De plus c'est une musique adaptable à toutes les vitesses, la meilleure preuve est la Marche pour la Cérémonie des Turcs de Lully qui se savoure aussi lente que très rapide. C'est ça la musique baroque. CQFD

I envisaged this as the final exit of a play featuring Cu Chullain but as an Eighteenth Century production. The play occurred but my music, settings and stage devices were 'changed'.

à mon sens, ce tempo si rapide confine à la brutalité orchestrale, induite par la véhémence du Chef... du coup, le chœur vocal s'en trouve lui aussi "brutalisé", et les deux solistes obligés de se livrer à des prouesses inutiles dans ces "forêts paisibles" puisqu' "ils sont sensibles" !!!

J'ai eu la chance d'assister à une représentation des Indes Galantes il y a bien longtemps au théâtre du Châtelet dans une mise en scène splendide et résolument baroque. Magnifique !
